Here is a list of the known Lone Scouts that registered in the Comanche Trail Council and their counselor where known. This list was taken from the Lone Scout History Records of the Council. Some of the older Scouts registered as Lone Scouts when they went off to college to keep their registration active after they left their unit.  Example was Billy Achor, Eagle Scout, a former member of Troop 8 in Brownwood who stated "I am in college at present but want to keep registered." He had received his Eagle on January 17, 1936, and registered as a Lone Scout in January 1942. Some Scouts were made Lone Scouts when their local Scout Troop folded.

In a few cases, it looks like an attempt was made to organize a Scout Troop and no leader would step forward, so the professional registered all the kids as Lone Scouts.  See the year 1944 for an example where a lot of kids were registered in August.  There was no age listed on their card, nor the name of a Friend or Counselor.  They were all shown to have obtained their Tenderfoot rank at the same time.

There were several Lone Scouts registerd in Rising Star in 1925-1927.  The Texas Indians Tribe was organized in1925 and there were only five members.  In April of 1926 their charter was granted and they had seven charter members. They were James Tomlinson, Clark Coursey, Harry Wiginton, Claus Stovall, Ervin Byrley and Charels Heald.  When they celebrated their second anniversary as a tribe they had eight members.  They were a very active group of boys and even formed a "Tejas Ticklers" orchestra that played at several events during that year.  The band was named after their Lone Scout Tribe name "Tejas Indians." 

Most Lone Scouts never advanced beyond Tenderfoot unles they transferred into a Troop.  There just was not the support available to them to help them earn their advancement awards.
