1920's Photos of the Buttery Brothers in San Angelo

Three of the Buttery boys were members of Troop 2 in San Angelo. Gordon Buttery received his Eagle Award in 1928, Edwin Buttery in 1930, and James Buttery in 1934.  Edwin, Gordon and James Buttery were the uncles of Alison Barton, who furnished the photos on this page.  Barton's mother was their youngest sister Dorothy.  There were also two other brothers, Lewis and Robert.

Alison Barton's father still lives in the Buttery home on Grierson in San Angelo.  Their family has always loved taking photos and every once in awhile Alison would grab a box and go through them and sort out photos for the cousins, etc.  Below are photos he found in an envelope of Scouting taken when the Buttery boys were Scouts.
